 2012 Kentucky Derby and Farm Tour Itinerary

Shuttle from Lexington and Cincinnati airports if needed

Get acquainted cocktail party at the hotel (casual)

(Thur)
 8:15 AM Assemble in the hotel lobby for touring some of Kentucky's
     most famous Thoroughbred farms - including
     Darley-Gainsborough and Three Chimneys.
Lunch will be waiting for us at Midway College (no host).
After lunch we will visit other points of interest, including
     WinStar Farm and Margaux Farm where Kent has his
     broodmare, Enduring Charm.
A tour guide will join us today.

Assemble in the hotel lobby for another day touring the Blue
     Grass Country with morning stops at Gainesway Farm
     and Walmac Farm.
Then on to Keeneland Race Course where you can wager
     and watch the Kentucky Oaks, pre-bet the Derby, and
     visit its well-known gift shop and sales pavilion.
Arive back at the DoubleTree Guest Suites Lexington
Cocktails (no host)
Hosted Derby dinner

  7:00 AM Depart the DoubleTree for the Kentucky Derby.
Our first stop will be breakfast.

Then to Churchill Downs for the Derby. You will receive
     a Derby box lunch and beverage. Admission and
     seating.

You will be advised of the departure time back to the
     DoubleTree Guest Suites Lexington.

Depart the DoubleTree for the Kentucky Horse Park.

Arrive Kentucky Horse Park. Cigar, horse museum, film
     and more.

Depart Kentucky Horse Park for the airport and return
     home.

     Bring your cameras and video cameras - they are allowed at all farms
     Bring your walking shoes, umbrella, windbreaker and / or warm jacket and swimsuit
